Māori In Business Ltd supplies off-grid expandable homes as completed imported units.
Our role is to supply the home only. We do not install, anchor, or construct homes on-site.

All site preparation, foundations, anchoring, cladding, and setup work are the sole responsibility of the customer. Māori In Business Ltd can offer general guidance but does not supervise or take liability for any work carried out after delivery.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Preparing their site correctly (level ground, access, and stable base).

  • Ensuring the home is anchored, reinforced, and/or double-clad if required for:

    • High or extra-high wind zones

    • Flood-prone or low-lying land

    • Coastal or salt-exposed environments

    • Seismic or earthquake-prone areas

    • Ground movement, erosion, or unstable soil

  • Organising all off-grid installations (solar, water, septic) with qualified or experienced providers.

Important:

Māori In Business Ltd accepts no liability for any damage, movement, or safety issues caused by:

  • Incorrect or unsafe installation

  • Inadequate foundations or anchoring

  • Seismic, flood, or wind-related events

  • Unqualified workmanship or unapproved alterations

We recommend that all installation and setup work be completed by a qualified tradesperson to ensure your home is safe, durable, and compliant with local conditions.

By purchasing and accepting delivery, you acknowledge that Māori In Business Ltd is a supplier only, and that setup and safety responsibilities rest entirely with the customer.

FOUNDATION, HEIGHT & SETUP REQUIREMENTS

Piles

450 mm Ground Clearance

Homes are designed to be installed with 450 mm (45 cm) clearance off the ground.
This height supports:

  • airflow underneath

  • access for plumbing and drainage

  • space to add underfloor insulation if you choose

  • general maintenance

Underfloor insulation is not included with the build.
Insulation can be added underneath after the home is positioned on your foundation.

Foundation Layout

Homes are installed on a raised pile system, deck platform, or steel sub-frame that provides the 450 mm clearance.

Please use the foundation diagram below for correct pile positioning and spacing.
This layout can be given directly to your builder or installer.

Sealing After Delivery

Once the home is opened on-site, the following areas can be checked and sealed:

  • roof joins and flashings

  • fold-out seams

  • window and door trims

  • exterior panel joins

Sealant is supplied with your build for these areas.

Corrosion Protection

In coastal, high-salt, or exposed locations, the following care is recommended:

  • apply marine-grade rust protection spray to exposed metal

  • touch up minor marks with anti-corrosive metal paint

  • optional: add cladding for additional weather and coastal protectionIf customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist. Clearly list and describe the services you offer. Also, be sure to showcase a premium service.
