FOUNDATION, HEIGHT & SETUP REQUIREMENTS

Maori in Business FOUNDATION, HEIGHT & SETUP REQUIREMENTS

Piles and Ground Clearance   Homes are designed to be installed with 450 mm (45 cm) clearance off the ground. This height allows for airflow, access for plumbing and drainage, space for optional underfloor insulation, and general maintenance.

Underfloor insulation is not included with the build. Insulation can be added underneath once the home is positioned on your foundation.

Foundation Requirements   Homes are installed on a raised pile system, deck platform, or steel sub‑frame that provides the required 450 mm clearance. These layouts are general guidance only. Final foundation design must be confirmed by your builder or qualified professional. You may give the layout directly to your builder or installer.

Sealing After Delivery   Once the home is opened on‑site, the following areas can be checked and sealed:

  • roof joins and flashings
  • fold‑out seams
  • window and door trims
  • exterior panel joins

Sealant is supplied with your build for these areas.

Corrosion Protection   In coastal, high‑salt, or exposed locations, we recommend:

  • applying marine‑grade rust protection spray to exposed metal
  • touching up minor marks with anti‑corrosive metal paint
  • optional cladding for additional weather and coastal protection

Freight & Delivery Costs Delivery & Site Access   We organise delivery from the New Zealand port to your land.

Delivery is approximately $5,000 NZD and includes:

  • port collection
  • transport to your site
  • standard placement on site

Final cost may vary depending on distance, site access, and location. Delivery is arranged before your home leaves the port.
