🛠️ Need Consent or Going Off-Grid?

We work with different trusted suppliers depending on what you need:

  • ✅ Off-grid or portable homes: More affordable and flexible, suited to whānau land or rural living

  • ✅ Council-consented homes: Built with extra certificates and reports required for approval

Let us know your setup — we’ll match you with the right supplier and quote to suit your budget and plans.

FAQ's

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

1. How are the homes delivered?

Our homes are delivered by truck, either on a trailer or flat-packed for quick setup. Delivery costs vary depending on your location and site access. We’ll work with you to arrange the best and most affordable delivery option.

2. Do I need council consent?

If you're placing the home permanently (not on wheels) or connecting to local services, your council may require building or resource consent.
We provide compliance certificates and can help guide you on what to check with your local council.

3. Are these homes moveable?

Yes — all our homes are fully transportable, whether mounted on a trailer or not.

  • Homes on trailers may be classified as mobile dwellings (like caravans), which are often exempt from building consent depending on use and location.

  • Homes delivered flat-packed are also moveable, and can be relocated later using a swinglift or transporter.

This makes them perfect for Māori land, off-grid living, or anyone wanting freedom without giving up control of their whenua.

4. How long will my home last?

With regular care and maintenance, our homes are designed to last 30+ years.
They're built with:

  • Steel frames

  • Fire-rated insulated panels

  • NZ-recognised fittings
Just keep the roof sealed, touch up exterior cladding as needed, and maintain plumbing and electrical systems.

5. What’s included in the price?

Every home comes pre-wired and pre-plumbed, with:

  • Bathroom and kitchen fittings

  • Electrical work ready for final hookup

  • Exterior cladding, roofing, and joinery complete

You just need to connect water, drainage, and power with licensed local tradies.

6. Do the homes come with a warranty?

Yes — each home comes with a 3-year structural warranty from our supplier, covering the steel frame and core structure.
Please note: Site issues or damage from poor setup aren’t covered — so proper installation is key.

  • 7. What do I need to prepare before delivery?
  • Here’s what you’ll need:
  • ✅ A licensed electrician for final connection and RCBO instal
  • ✅ A licensed plumber for water and drainage
    ✅ A clear, truck-accessible site (20ft–40ft turning room)
✅ Foundations or trailer anchors (if staying permanently)
✅ Review our Customer Responsibilities Checklist (PDF download available)

8. Is the home fully set up when it arrives?

Not fully — while our homes are almost turn-key ready, there are a few finishing steps required on-site:

  • ✅ Pre-wired, pre-plumbed, and certified to NZ standards
    ✅ Bathroom is fully installed
✅ Kitchen cabinetry arrives inside the home, ready for install
    ✅ Optional curtain packs available
✅ Setup help available from our trusted NZ-wide tradie network
  • Please note:
Due to shipping movement, the home must be sealed at key joints and corners once placed.
    We supply:
  • 🧰 Sealant
    🛠️ Waterproof tape
🔧 Basic fittings & tools (where needed)
  • This ensures your home is weather-tight and ready for long-term use.
